With great sadness, we share the unfortunate news that Ronnie Teague passed away yesterday. Ronnie suffered a brain hemorrhage while receiving care at Mass General Hospital.
Giselle, Ronnie’s wife, shared the following note on her Facebook page yesterday:
“Thank you everyone for all your prayers for Ronnie for the last 8 months. You have all been amazing friends and family and an amazing support for us through all of this. Thank you.”
Ronnie, a carpenter by trade, fell off a ladder and suffered a traumatic brain injury while helping a friend roof his house on September 2nd, 2013. Ronnie was the father of three boys, one daughter, and a young granddaughter. His oldest son recently started his career in the United States Navy and the younger two boys live at home with the family.
Hope Strengthens Foundation learned about Ronnie and his family shortly after his injury. Thanks to donors from across the country, we were honored to raise awareness and financial support to offset some of the expenses Ronnie and his family incurred during his numerous surgeries and treatment over the past 8 months.
Hope Strengthens Foundation will be honoring Ronnie’s memory at our upcoming fundraising event on Monday, May 12th. If you are unable to attend the event and would like to make a donation that we will forward directly to Giselle and the family, please visit hopestrengthens.org/donate-online.
