Rafe Mazer joins Hope Strengthens Foundation’s Board of Directors out of a strong belief in the organization’s mission to support those who are dealing with the personal, family and economic challenges of serious illness or injury. His personal and professional experiences have led him to believe in the importance of support networks and sound advice alongside economic support to help people develop long-lasting behaviors that can overcome serious challenges they face.
In his professional life Rafe works for CGAP, a global organization that seeks to increase access to financial products across the globe. His work focuses on using behavioral research to help governments ensure consumers get fair and appropriate financial products that help them manage their day to day lives, which often includes coping with economic shocks like an illness in the family.
Rafe is personally excited to join a team made up of two fellow Vineyarders, and to bring the communal values of their hometown to the work of Hope Strengthens and the families it serves.
