This week, Hope Strengthens Foundation (HSF) was privileged to attend a ceremony launching an expansion of the Home Base National Center of Excellence in Boston, MA.
Since 2009, Home Base has provided world-class, direct clinical care, wellness, education and research – all at no cost – to more than 35,000 of the most injured veterans, service members, and their families.
Thanks to the generosity of HSF Advisory Board member Jim Clancy, his wife Tricia and their family, a new room in the Home Base Brain Health Performance Suite was named in loving memory of Jim’s parents, James and Marie.
This room will be used to deliver treatment and care coordination for veterans dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury, depression, anxiety, and musculoskeletal injuries.
It is an honor for HSF to partner with the Clancy family on this important endeavor. Their leadership and generosity will deliver lifesaving clinical care and offer a brighter future for many veterans and their families.
“With gratitude from a grateful nation” is a message on a wall at Home Base, just above a beautiful wooden American flag. These words acknowledge that more than 80 percent of the program’s work is funded by fellow Americans like the Clancy family and nonprofit partners like HSF so that free care, wellness, education, and research is readily available to our veterans, service members, military families, and families of the fallen.
