Hope Strengthens Foundation (HSF) recently visited Mass General Cancer Center at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital to deliver our latest contribution to a fund established to support current cancer patients and the wellness of survivors who have completed their treatments. While there, we had the opportunity to hear from members of their team and learned more about all of the important ways they are directing resources to cover patient needs.
This partnership is especially meaningful as it was established in memory of Jack and Joanne Lynch, the parents of longtime HSF supporter, Chris Lynch. Jack was a Vietnam Veteran and commercial airline pilot. Joanne was a teacher and community leader. They were parents of three talented boys and grandparents to six beautiful children. Jack and Joanne were role models and positive influences on the lives of HSF’s co-founders, Jim Fahey and Jake Ferreira.
Additionally, Chris’s wife Heather works at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital as an RN and Nurse Navigator who helps educate and guide patients through their full continuum of care, from diagnosis and treatment through to survivorship.
