“Foundations like Hope Strengthens are vital to so many people who really need a miracle. I am glad for my miracle that came in the form of Hope Strengthens! I am grateful for the strength that God continues to give me and my hope that increases because of people like you!” – HSF Beneficiary
We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of our donors for your incredible generosity. The work we aim to accomplish is not possible without your support.
Early in 2021, your donations were put into quick action to help Jason Hairston as he faced multiple eye surgeries due to complications from COVID-19.
You helped us purchase a leg brace for Charlene Hering and cover physical therapy sessions that allowed her to regain the strength necessary to overcome complications from a failed back surgery.
Your support covered medical and transportation expenses for Kimberly Hunter as she battled a brain tumor and a serious autoimmune disease.
In addition to covering medical bills, purchasing specialized equipment, and tending to other out of pocket expenditures for care, you once again helped us expand our partnerships with Martin-O’Neil Cancer Center and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Pediatric Resource Program. These alliances allowed us to deliver targeted support to many more children and families as they faced their battle with cancer.
This spring, we awarded our eighth scholarship in the memory of our first beneficiary, Ally Smith. A deserving senior at Walpole High School, who personifies Ally’s qualities, will receive financial support to pursue health studies in college.
Thanks to the awesome support of long-time donor Loukas Nakos and his family, we collaborated on a multi-year scholarship at the University of New Hampshire College of Health and Human Services to provide need-based support to junior and senior undergraduates, with a preference for first generation college students.
We also established a scholarship fund with Northeastern University’s Bouvé College of Health Sciences, School of Nursing and the first two scholarship recipients were recently identified.
The continued service and sacrifice of our health care professionals is remarkable. Students receiving these scholarships are in the process of preparing for demanding career fields where they will be on the frontlines leading efforts to improve the health of their fellow community members.
With your support, we will be able to strengthen existing efforts and prepare to help many more people facing a life-threatening illness, disability, or recovery from traumatic injuries in 2022 and beyond.
Thanks again for everything!
