Carol continues to do a magnificent job advancing through her brain cancer treatment. The entire family remains in positive spirits as they await Carol’s next MRI and doctor’s appointment on October 28th. Everyone is praying for good news and clear results.
Friends and family will gather to raise awareness and support for Carol at 6:00pm on Saturday, November 8th at the Slovene Center (70 14th St NW, Barberton, OH 44203). The event is sold-out but if you are interested in donating a raffle item, please contact Carol’s brother, Thomas Tomcik at ttomcik@yahoo.com.
You may also make a tax-deductible donation to Hope Strengthens Foundation by visiting www.hopestrengthens.org. In turn, 100% of your donation will go to The Carol Gardner Benevolent Fund as a part of our on-going campaign to support the family and cover past, present, and future medical expenses for Carol’s care. When processing your donation, please note that you’d like for it to be sent to Carol Gardner.
Additionally, the Gardner family wanted to let supporters in the northeast Ohio area know that there is a local, movie night fundraiser on October 23rd hosted by Blast Glioblastoma. This outstanding organization is led by Dr. Joe and Michelle Blanda whose 17-year old son Joe, was diagnosed with Glioblastoma in October, 2013. Dr. Blanda and his family have provided invaluable guidance and support to the Gardner family.
